Project Build Up Learning Academy: Impacts of Trauma on Problem Gambling Development and Recovery

November 30, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

This training counts toward the MA PGS Certificate Clinical Core Competency Coursework

November 30th, December 7th and 14th 1-3:30 PM

This program is a 3-session (2.5 hours/session) offered through MTAC’s sister program Project Build Up that will focus on the impacts of trauma on gambling disorder. Attendance at every session is required.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Program Project Build Up is hosting a Learning Academy that will discuss how trauma impacts the development of problem gambling and co-occurring disorders. Participants will also learn more about the principles of trauma-informed care and applying these to problem gambling treatment and recovery. This is an opportunity for organizations that already provide services or are interested in providing services for gambling disorder to learn to focus equity on their work.

Participation is limited to twenty attendees. Attendance is limited to two participants from each applying organization. Participants that complete all 3 sessions of the Learning Academy will be awarded a stipend. This course offers 7 hours of CEU credits.

We will update this page with the application link when we begin accepting applications in late October!
