SUMMARY:The Mind & Body Connection (Summer 2026)
DESCRIPTION:This two-hour interactive training introduces participants to the mind–body connection and its role in behavioral health\, including how biopsychosocial and cultural factors influence the development and maintenance of problem gambling and other co-occurring conditions. Participants will learn how to apply mindfulness-based\, somatic\, and integrative therapeutic strategies to address urges\, emotional dysregulation\, and distorted thinking patterns. The training emphasizes practical application\, with guided experiential exercises designed to increase clinicians’ confidence in using holistic and nervous-system-informed interventions within their own clinical work. You must stay the full length of the training to receive CE credit.\n\nThe training will be facilitated by Maya A. Williams-Bond-Jackson\, LMHC\, CIMPH\, CCTP-II\, MA PGS II\, ADHD-CCSP\, CCATP\, an integrative clinical therapist and clinical consultant who partners with organizations to strengthen culturally responsive\, trauma-informed systems of care. As the owner of her private practice\, Behind the Latest Minds\, LLC\, she specializes in co-occurring mental health conditions and mind–body integration through a cultural humility lens. He will share practical steps towards change and his journey to find his purpose; inspiring\, uplifting\, and being of service to others. Questions are encouraged! You must stay the full length of the training to receive CE credit. \nSpeaker: Mathematics is a motivational speaker\, recovery professional\, and creative artist with lived experience forged through 15 winters and 14 summers in state prison. After surviving 131 detox stays\, 8 holdings\, 4 halfway houses\, 7 overdoses\, and 3 years on Mass Ave\, he began his recovery journey on September 13\, 2016. Today\, he works in the recovery field at Bedrock Recovery Center and leads his own speaking company\, MBM – Motivated By Mathematics\, delivering powerful\, routine-based messages to schools\, prisons\, recovery spaces\, and community events. Mathematics is a musical artist\, poet\, published poet\, and author of That P.A.R.T.
